Il Terrazzo Grande
The grand terrace ("il terrazzo
grande") is often cited as one of
the most unique features of this splendid
vacation home. Over 18' deep and 80' long,
the grand terrace offers a shady location
for relaxing, dining, or playing. The
terrace covers the entire rear of the
house providing you with wonderful seating,
relaxation and play areas.
Even in summer the shade envelops the
terrace as soon as 10am in the morning.
In the most aggressive rainstorms (Dec
& May) the rain only comes 7' into
the terrace allowing you to sit and enjoy
while remaining dry. The terrace offers
a seating area outside, larger than most
living rooms, but covered to protect you
from the elements. This is a particularly
romantic place to sit and drink some fine
wine on a fine summers eve or during a
soothing winter rainstorm.
While sitting on the terrace on a typical
warm and sunny day, you can look over
the pool and the entire oceanside of the
house. Watch the others in your party
play in the pool, eat a snack to store
up new energy or play one of the board
games available in the villa. Your will
find quickly that the terrace draws you
to it for relaxation, discussions and
dining.
Also on the terrace, in front of the
Game Room, is a championship 8' x 4' pool
table specifically designed in marine
grade stainless steel for outdoor environments.
The pool table can easily be converted
into a ping-pong table and since the terrace
has 10' ceilings you won't have to worry
about those jump shots. Situated close
to the pool table is another seating area
for relaxing or watching the play in action.
